The short version
This site uses analytics and advertising measurement only if you accept them, and you can change your choice at any time.
What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, such as local storage, work the same way. This policy covers both.
What this site uses
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Type | Kept for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
a8_consent | Autom8 | Remembers your cookie choice, so you aren't asked on every page | Necessary (local storage) | 12 months |
_ga | Google Analytics | Tells visits apart, so I can count visitors | Analytics, only if you accept | 2 years |
_ga_<ID> | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your current visit | Analytics, only if you accept | 2 years |
| OpenAI measurement identifiers | OpenAI (ChatGPT ads) | Shows whether a visit that came from an ad in ChatGPT led to an enquiry | Advertising, only if you accept | Set by OpenAI |
a8_ty_lead | Autom8 | Stops the same enquiry being counted twice if you reload the thank-you page | Advertising, only if you accept (session storage) | Until you close the tab |
If the contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam, Cloudflare processes technical information, such as your IP address and browser details, to check that you're a person. It isn't used for advertising.
If you log in to manage this website, WordPress sets its own necessary login cookies. Visitors don't receive these.
Changing your choice
Use the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of any page to accept or reject analytics and advertising cookies. If you reject them after accepting, the analytics cookies are removed and the OpenAI pixel stops sending measurements. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Google Analytics
Google Analytics is provided by Google LLC and may process information in the United States. You can read how Google uses this information at policies.google.com.
OpenAI ads measurement
If you accept, this site loads OpenAI's measurement pixel, which tells OpenAI when someone who saw an ad in ChatGPT visits or sends an enquiry. It doesn't send the details you type into a form. OpenAI may process this information in the United States. You can read how OpenAI handles it at openai.com.
